Our client, a company operating in road construction, is seeking an HR Officer to manage the full range of HR responsibilities. The role includes overseeing recruitment, onboarding, compliance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, and daily HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for all roles.
- Coordinate and support the onboarding process for new employees.
- Implement and oversee the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
- Ensure compliance with Maltese employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, including IRD submissions.
- Manage applications and renewals for Third Country National work permits.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records, including contracts of employment and health & safety documentation.
- Provide day-to-day HR support and address employee queries.
- Serve as a professional and discreet point of contact for staff.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday: Office Hours
Requirements
- Fluent in Maltese and English. Good command of Italian will be considered an asset.
- Experience in a similar role will be considered a stong asset.
- Proactive attitude to learn on own steam
- Hands-on approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Have an understanding of Maltese labour laws and work permit procedures.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
