Our Client, one of the leading companies in Malta are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and manage all HR operational functions. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will support the full Employee Life Cycle and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage all HR operational functions to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Oversee full recruitment cycles and coordinate with external recruitment and temp agencies.
- Manage time & attendance, payroll processes, and compensation & benefits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise agency workforce, including time-tracking and payment processes.
- Monitor labour costs and assist in preparing HR budgets and management reports.
- Coordinate employee learning and development initiatives.
- Update, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
- Manage HR data through the HRIS system and produce insightful HR reports.
- Support HR projects, process optimisation, and HR digitalisation efforts.
- Oversee the company security program and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders as required.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday
Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2–3 years in an HR management role.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong decision-making abilities.
- Strong local HR operations expertise: payroll, T&A, recruitment, and agency workforce management.
- Experience in compensation & benefits, labour cost monitoring, and budget support.
- Ability to coordinate L&D programs and oversee training implementation.
- Skilled in HR reporting, KPI monitoring, and HR data analysis.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Knowledge of employment legislation, compliance requirements, and policy implementation.
- Experience in HR process improvement and digitalisation.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Manufacturing and/or FMCG experience is considered an asset.
- Must hold an excellent level of Maltese and English.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification in Employment Law.
