HR Operations & Payroll Clerk

We are a detail-oriented HR Administrative to join our client's team. The primary responsibilities of this role will be focused on managing payroll operations and facilitating work permit applications for the employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and be adept at navigating work permit regulations and procedures. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing:
    • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll disbursements.
    • Maintain payroll records, including deductions, bonuses, leaves, and overtime.
    • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with finance department to ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Work Permit Applications:
    • Coordinate the preparation and submission of work permit applications for foreign employees.
    • Stay updated on immigration laws and regulations to ensure compliance with work permit requirements.
    • Liaise with government agencies and legal counsel to facilitate the processing of work permits.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding work permit application procedures.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate employee records related to payroll and work permits.
    • Generate reports on payroll metrics, work permit status, and compliance activities as required.
    • Analyse payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure adherence to payroll policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and maintain documentation related to payroll processing and work permit applications.
    • Conduct audits to verify compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed, including assistance with onboarding, offboarding, and HR-related inquiries.
    • Assist in organizing employee training sessions, workshops, and other HR events.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with work permit regulations and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Proficient in HRIS and payroll software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Education and Experience

  • Relevant educational qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role (minimum of 1 year)
