HR Manager (Hospitality)

Our client specializing in the Hospitality industry is looking for an HR Manager. Your roles and responsibilities will include: 

  • Align HR strategies with the hotel's objectives and luxury service standards
  • Advise the General Manager and leadership team on HR matters to support business goals
  • Manage the recruitment process to attract top talent across all roles, including guest-facing and management positions
  • Oversee onboarding, ensuring seamless integration into the hotel’s culture and service standards
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work environment by managing employee relations and promoting open communication
  • Address employee concerns promptly and fairly in line with hotel policies
  • Develop training programs to enhance skills, service quality, and career growth
  • Oversee performance management, assisting managers with goal setting, feedback, and appraisals to ensure employee success and retention
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and employee records with accuracy and compliance
  • Review compensation structures to remain competitive within the hospitality industry
  • Ensure compliance with Maltese employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate employee records, manage leave and attendance, and oversee disciplinary processes as needed

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a deep understanding of HR best practices and Maltese employment laws
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to fostering an exceptional work culture. Must have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence
  • Candidates must be in Malta, with the legal right of working in Malta
  • Fluency in both Maltese AND English is a must

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior HR role, ideally within hospitality or luxury service industry
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in hospitality in general is considered a strong asset
