Our client is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR Generalist to join a fast-paced, highly regulated team. Working in a team of three, you will manage the HR operations for specific departments, supporting approximately 150 employees. This role requires a professional who is comfortable with high volumes and possesses a deep understanding of local administrative and legal processes.
The Main Responsibilities include:
Support the full employee life cycle, including high-volume recruitment, onboarding, probation, and offboarding.
Provide guidance to staff and managers on policies, procedures, and employment conditions.
Ensure strict compliance with Maltese employment law and labour migration policies, including Identità and Jobsplus
Maintain meticulous employee records and documentation, ensuring accuracy for regulatory audits.
Assist with disciplinary and grievance procedures to ensure legal consistency.
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
Manage payroll inputs, leave, and attendance records.
Support HR reporting and contribute to process improvement projects.
Requirements
Solid knowledge of Maltese employment legislation and HR best practices.
Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Proven ability to work accurately at pace within a high-volume, regulated environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with Indigo (HRIS) and Time & Attendance is a significant asset.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar HR Generalist role.
Experience working within a local Maltese company and familiarity with local migration processes.
