HR Executive

  South of Malta

Our client is looking to recruit an HR Executive to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will:

  • Works with HR Manager and/or other top management to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees.
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and hire employees as necessary, following all HR processes and procedures.
  • Direct all hiring and training procedures for new employees.
  • Continually educate employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor employee progress and stay abreast of company climate and culture, ensuring it stays positive and productive.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected
  • Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments, discussing any problems or grievances they may have.
  • Attend to employee complaints and work to resolve conflicts.
  • Initiate and implement any necessary changes to help boost worker productivity (better assessment processes, incentive programs, etc.).
  • Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues.
  • Understand and adhere to employment laws.
  • Ensure all relevant Environment, Health, and Safety instructions are implemented.
  • Compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and also the responsibility to report any hazards / near misses/injuries immediately to the area management.
  • Assist the HR manager on specific projects that arise from time to time.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a highly visible role
  • A proven leader with strong interpersonal skills keen to motivate and effectively educate and connect department managers and employees regarding all HR matters
  • Takes initiative to implement necessary changes
  • Honest, ethical and dependable with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, finance or related field
  • 5+ years experience in HR
  • Highly computer literate in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
