The HR Coordinator will provide day-to-day support in the administration of the Human Resources function, ensuring compliance with Maltese employment law and company policies. The role involves maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and terminations, disciplinary cases and supporting employees with queries. The HR Coordinator will work closely with the Chief HR Officer to ensure compliance and smooth delivery of HR services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general HR support and guidance to employees.
- Manage maternity, marriage, jury and other leave procedures, including documentation and input into Indigo HR software.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and terminations, including Jobs Plus administration.
- Assist with payroll coordination, HR reporting and handle statutory submissions including NSO statistics and other government reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensure GDPR compliance, and complete statutory submissions.
- Prepare reports as requested by the HR Manager or CHRO.
- Support disciplinary cases and hearings, liaising with legal/government entities as required.
- Maintain accurate employee files in both electronic and hard copy format.
- Promote compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Ensure timely response to HR queries and contribute to process improvement.
Requirements
- Fluency in Maltese and English (spoken and written).
- Experience in HR administration or coordination.
- Knowledge of Maltese employment law and HR processes.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- 1 Year of experience in previous role.
Education and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in HR, Psychology, Management, or a related field.
