Administrative HR Executive (Hospitality)

  Central Malta  |  €25,000 - €32,000 Annually 

The Administrative HR Executive will provide comprehensive administrative support to the hotel’s senior management while overseeing day-to-day HR operations. This dual role requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach, and hands-on experience in both administration and HR within the local Maltese context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to management, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Manage office systems, records, and filing to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on behalf of management.
  • Support procurement, stock control, and other operational needs as required.
  • Oversee HR administration including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with Maltese employment law and hotel policies.
  • Manage payroll input, leave records, and related employee documentation.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries, supporting staff relations and welfare.
  • Assist management with performance reviews, training coordination, and disciplinary processes.
  • Support initiatives for employee engagement and retention.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Maltese is an asset).
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong IT proficiency (MS Office suite; HR/payroll software exposure preferred).
  • Professional, discreet, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Education and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Maltese employment law and HR practices is a must
  • Proven experience in administrative and HR roles, ideally combined
  • Experience in the hospitality, hotel, or catering industry is desirable
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field is an asset
