The Administrative HR Executive will provide comprehensive administrative support to the hotel’s senior management while overseeing day-to-day HR operations. This dual role requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach, and hands-on experience in both administration and HR within the local Maltese context.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level administrative support to management, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
- Manage office systems, records, and filing to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on behalf of management.
- Support procurement, stock control, and other operational needs as required.
- Oversee HR administration including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with Maltese employment law and hotel policies.
- Manage payroll input, leave records, and related employee documentation.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries, supporting staff relations and welfare.
- Assist management with performance reviews, training coordination, and disciplinary processes.
- Support initiatives for employee engagement and retention.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Maltese is an asset).
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong IT proficiency (MS Office suite; HR/payroll software exposure preferred).
- Professional, discreet, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Education and Experience
- Strong knowledge of Maltese employment law and HR practices is a must
- Proven experience in administrative and HR roles, ideally combined
- Experience in the hospitality, hotel, or catering industry is desirable
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field is an asset
