One of Malta’s 4-star hotels is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join its'  culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to further develop their culinary career within a reputable hospitality environment.
Duties include but are not limited to: 
- Collaborate with the team to coordinate and manage daily kitchen operations;
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and plating across all dining outlets;
- Uphold strict hygiene, health, and safety standards in the kitchen;
- Contribute to menu development, cost management, and inventory control;
- Mentor, train, and oversee junior kitchen team members;
- Ensure efficient and smooth service during busy periods;
- Manage procurement and ordering of kitchen supplies from vendors.
Requirements
                        
                                                                                                - Knowledge of kitchen management, rosters, inventory management, menu development and costings;
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment; 
- Flexibility to work on a roster basis including evenings weekends and public holidays;
- Candidates must be located already in Malta;
Education and Experience
                        
                                                                                                - Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior position in a kitchen.
- Culinary education is considered an asset 
- Knowledge of Mediterranean Cuisine.
