Our client who is a leading producer of food for the airline, retail, and events industries, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance food safety and quality systems in line with local, EU, and inflight regulations. Reporting to the Catering Director, the Quality Assurance Manager will ensure continuous improvement across all operations while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain HACCP and food safety management systems.
- Manage and update documentation to ensure compliance with company, airline, and international standards.
- Deliver training on food safety, hygiene, and company procedures.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.
- Handle customer complaints through investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with kitchen, operations, and airline partners to drive seamless quality assurance.
- Monitor quality performance, report insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Must already be residing in Malta with local experience.
- Degree in Food Science, Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in food safety or quality assurance, preferably in catering, food production, or aviation.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, inflight, and EU food regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Additional qualifications in auditing, food safety, or occupational health and safety will be an asset.
- A proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong ethical values, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
