Head Chef
Central Malta | €30,000 - €45,000 Annually
One of our clients are looking for someone who has passion in cooking and who can lead a team as a Head Chef of two different locations. Duties and Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Oversee daily kitchen operations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner across outlets.
Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen team to maintain high performance and strong teamwork.
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control according to company standards.
Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe innovation with the management team.
Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation practices in line with HACCP guidelines.
Implement and monitor cleaning schedules and food safety procedures.
Manage food costing, waste control, and stock rotation to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Forecast kitchen requirements based on business demand and seasonal trends.
Collaborate with Front of House, Management, and HR to ensure smooth service operations.
Assist with staff training, evaluations, and ongoing team development.
Requirements
Relevant experience in the Kitchen
Knowledge on Mediterranean cuisine
Drives here in Malta
Solid understanding of HACCP, food safety, and kitchen protocols
Education and Experience
Experience in leading a team
experience in a senior kitchen role
