We are looking for a skilled culinary professional to join a busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role involves supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes in accordance with the menu;
- Ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards;
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained;
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation;
- Assist in stock control and daily Mise En Place;
- Participate in menu planning and special event preparations.
Requirements
- At least one year local experience in a fast paced restaurant/hotel
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- Flexibility to work on roster basis, including evenings and weekends.
- Currently residing in Malta;
- Third Country Nationals require a valid Skill Pass
- Excellent communication skills in English; Maltese is considered an asset.
