Our Client, operating in the Hospitality Industry is seeking a skilled and passionate culinary professional to join their high-end fast-paced restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service. Reporting to the Head Chef, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards and menu specifications.
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Assist in the preparation of special events and private dining experiences.
Ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours, maintaining high standards of food presentation and taste.
Working hours: Monday to Sunday on a roster basis, with two days off.
Requirements
Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
At least 3 years of local experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Hold and excellent level of written and verbal English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen staff.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Education and Experience
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred.
