HSSE Officer

  South of Malta

A leading international company in the Maritime industry are looking for an HSSE Officer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop the health, safety and environmental strategies of the company;
  • Organize and coordinate all training in safety and environmental aspects;
  • Ensure suitable protective equipment is given to workers and that such policy is being maintained and followed;
  • Carry out adequate risk assessments as and when required;
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and health, safety, and environmental standards;
  • Maintain and update the plans and procedures for emergency response;
  • Carry out necessary controls of safety procedures in all departments;
  • Monitoring operations and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to;
  • Meet company health and safety goals;

Requirements:

  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety;
  • At least 2 years of experience in related field;
  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety;
  • Fluent spoken and written English, Italian would be an asset;
  • Great attention to detail.
