Our client, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, is looking for a senior HSSE professional to lead and manage Security, Health & Safety, Environment, Business Continuity, Risk, and Incident Management functions within a high-security manufacturing environment.. This role forms part of the Site Senior Leadership Team and plays a key role in ensuring operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and the protection of people, assets, and brand integrity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and oversee Security, H&S, Environmental, BCP, Risk, and Internal Audit functions across site operations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 14298, ISO 27001, ISO 14001) and internal policies.
- Manage risk assessments, investigations, audits, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with external authorities and key stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance to site leadership and train teams on HSSE best practices.
- Support business continuity planning and incident management to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday: Office Hours
Requirements
- Must have at least 4 years of local experience in a similar role and industry.
- Proven leadership experience in HSSE, security, or risk management within a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, compliance, and audit processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
- Must have an excellent level of written and verbal English.
- Strong background in risk identification, incident management, safety, and security.
- Proactively reviews systems and processes to identify improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Experience in shipping and logistics planning, including Known Consignor or customs arrangements.
- Proven experience in Business Continuity Management (CBCI or equivalent preferred).
Education and Experience
- ISO Lead Auditor qualification.
- Degree-level qualification (Level 6) in Security and Risk Management or equivalent.
- NEBOSH certification preferred.
