Our Client is looking for a Health and Safety Officer based in Malta. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures, carrying out risk assessments, delivering staff training, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
Provide training and raise safety awareness.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Conduct inspections and audits.
Maintain safety records and reports.
Liaise with management and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
Familiarity with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standard in Malta
Health & Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA will be considered an asset
Skills
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, Maltese is preferred
Ability to conduct risk assessments, implement effective safety procedures and deliver training
Previous experience within a high risk environment such as the construction or manufacturing industry will be considered an advantage
Additional Requirements
Only candidates currently residing and legally working in Malta will be considered
