Our Client, who specialises in the Pharmaceutical industry is looking for an experienced EHS Manager. Responsible for implementing and overseeing safety, health, and environmental compliance programs across the site, ensuring alignment with OHSA, ESG, and local pharmaceutical regulations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the local EHS team and align policies with company goals
- Develop and maintain EHS and ESG frameworks, policies, and compliance programs
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections; lead emergency planning
- Monitor and report on EHS/ESG performance, trends, and improvements
- Drive safety awareness and engagement across all employee levels
- Organise safety training and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Assess and recommend safety measures for new equipment or upgrades
- Manage site security services and ensure timely permit renewals
- Stay up to date with relevant regulations and ensure full compliance across operations
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in health and safety management, with leadership experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry
- Solid understanding of Maltese health and safety laws and best practices
- Background in Chemistry is considered an asset
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in Malta
- Skilled in incident investigations, risk management, and emergency response planning
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver impactful training programs
- Strong communication skills
- Hold an excellent level of written and verbal English
