We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Occupational Health Advisor to join an international company. This role is central to safeguarding employee wellbeing by delivering high-quality occupational health services, supporting clients, and ensuring compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
You will play a key role in assessing fitness for work, managing medical data, and providing expert guidance to both internal teams and external partners.
What You’ll Be Doing
Medical Assessment & Advisory
- Conduct occupational health medical examinations and assessments
- Determine fitness for work, travel, and role-specific requirements
- Identify health risks and recommend preventive or corrective actions
- Provide second opinions where required
Health Monitoring & Follow-Up
- Monitor and follow up on employee health cases
- Instigate additional medical tests when necessary
- Carry out home visits where applicable
- Support primary care needs when required
Client & Stakeholder Support
- Advise clients, employees, and internal teams on occupational health matters
- Provide guidance to partner clinics on required medical testing panels
- Issue medical recommendations (e.g. Fit to Work, Fit to Travel, vaccinations)
- Ensure timely communication in line with agreed service levels
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Analyse and interpret medical reports from internal and external sources
- Prepare and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Support the development of client-specific procedures and SOPs
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, SLAs, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance and data accuracy
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department
What We’re Looking For
- A medical doctor preferably with a Doctor of Occupational Medicine (occupational physician) degree
- Ideally further specialisation in Occupational Health
- Ideally experience in industrial / mining / international / Oil & Gas related occupational health scenarios
- Minimum 2 years’ experience covering:
- Occupational Medicine
- DOT (Direct Observable Treatment)
- Medical Care
- Electrocardiogram i.e. ability to interpret EKG results
