Our client, a leading player within the building and construction industry, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of interior fit-out projects.
The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while managing operational teams and optimizing resources across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of multiple fit-out projects, ensuring work aligns with project plans, schedules, and specifications.
Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, site managers, and design teams to develop detailed timelines and resource allocations.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support site managers, foremen, and operational staff to maintain high standards of workmanship and meet objectives.
Resource & Logistics Management: Coordinate the allocation of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to minimize disruptions and optimize utilization.
Budget & Cost Control: Monitor operational costs and variations to ensure projects remain within budget, while occasionally providing operational input for quotations or tenders.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary operational point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues timely.
Risk Management: Identify potential operational risks early and implement proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
Quality & Safety Compliance: Implement quality control procedures and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental regulations across all sites.
Reporting: Provide regular operational reports and performance metrics to senior management to assist with strategic planning.

Requirements
Education: A University Degree (MQF Level 6) in a relevant field of study.
Minimum of 5-10 years of solid working experience within the construction/fit-out sector, with a proven track record in a supervisory or management role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese.
Deep knowledge of interior fit-out projects, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in relevant IT tools.
