Our client is a well-established organisation operating within a specialised area of the hospitality and tourism industry in Malta. As part of the Operations Department, you will assist the Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth coordination of day-to-day activities. The role calls for a highly organised and proactive individual capable of managing multiple stakeholders, overseeing logistics, and ensuring that all operations run efficiently and in line with the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager in the daily coordination and execution of the port's operational activities.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and relevant authorities, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
- Oversee logistics planning, staffing allocation, and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate pre-arranged engagements and bookings, ensuring all commitments are delivered to the expected standard.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all operations.
- Provide hands-on assistance to the wider operations team as required, particularly during peak activity periods or special events.
Requirements
- Excellend command in both Maltese and English is a must
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, capable of liaising effectively with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Good understanding of health and safety protocols and service delivery standards.
- Be ready to work flexible hours if needed, and will have planned duties outside of normal hours on an alternative basis
- Competent in Microsoft Office and general administrative tools; familiarity with scheduling or booking systems is a plus.
Education and Experience
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desired
- Additional certification in operations, logistics, or health and safety would be considered an asset
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in an operational, coordination, or client-facing role within hospitality, tourism, or event management
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, suppliers, or service providers
