Our client is a well-established organisation operating within a specialised area of the hospitality and tourism industry in Malta. As part of the Operations Department, you will assist the Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth coordination of day-to-day activities. The role calls for a highly organised and proactive individual capable of managing multiple stakeholders, overseeing logistics, and ensuring that all operations run efficiently and in line with the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Operations Manager in the daily coordination and execution of the port's operational activities.
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and relevant authorities, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
Oversee logistics planning, staffing allocation, and emergency response procedures.
Coordinate pre-arranged engagements and bookings, ensuring all commitments are delivered to the expected standard.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all operations.
Provide hands-on assistance to the wider operations team as required, particularly during peak activity periods or special events.
Requirements
Excellend command in both Maltese and English is a must
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicator, capable of liaising effectively with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Good understanding of health and safety protocols and service delivery standards.
Be ready to work flexible hours if needed, and will have planned duties outside of normal hours on an alternative basis
Competent in Microsoft Office and general administrative tools; familiarity with scheduling or booking systems is a plus.
Education and Experience
A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desired
Additional certification in operations, logistics, or health and safety would be considered an asset
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in an operational, coordination, or client-facing role within hospitality, tourism, or event management
Experience managing multiple stakeholders, suppliers, or service providers
