A client of ours operating a start-up Company specialised in Business support and Financial /Fintech Services, is looking to onboard a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join their growing team of professionals. The designated person will lead the EMI’s strategy, operations, and compliance to ensure sustainable growth and full regulatory alignment.
Duties:
- Define and execute strategic and operational plans in line with MFSA, PSD2, and EU directives.
- Oversee licensing, governance, and regulatory relationships.
- Manage the executive team (CFO, MLRO, Compliance, Operations).
- Ensure financial health, risk control, and business expansion.
- Represent the institution before regulators, shareholders, and partners.
- Implement group-wide KPIs and performance management frameworks as required.
- Foster strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven leadership in the financial services and/or fintech sector
- In-depth knowledge of MFSA and EU financial regulations, and strong familiarisation with local legislations
- Strong strategic, financial, and governance skills.
- Proven track record in driving business growth and profitability.
- Strong commercial acumen with strategic and operational agility.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Education and Experience
- Would ideally hold a Degree level of qualification and/or an MBA
