Senior Regulatory Advisor

  Central Malta  |  €40,000 - €45,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading business advisory firm specializing in providing regulatory advice to financial services clients is seeking a Senior Regulatory Advisor to join their team. The role requires a dynamic, energetic individual motivated by a challenging work environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with prospective clients, outlining the optimal operational set-up for their requirements, and acting as a regulatory consultant in terms of regulatory changes and demands.
  • Following the local and international regulatory compliance scene, monitoring, and reviewing developments within the regulatory environment.
  • Managing licence applications and liaising with clients in relation to application submission documentation including due diligence materials, business plans, policies, procedures, and agreements.
  • Acting as a point of liaison between the licence holder and the regulator, mainly the Malta Financial Services Authority.
  • Ensuring that all licensed entities remain compliant with all the applicable rules and regulations and that regular reporting obligations are adhered to.
  • Provide exceptional client support on matters relating to compliance and regulation.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of local experience in a similar role or within a regulatory environment
  • Detail-oriented, work well in a team, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework underlying the financial services industry, and related structures.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • A degree in Law, Financial Services, Bachelor of Commerce or a related field
