Data Protection Manager

Our client within the Financial Services is looking for a Data Protection Manager to join their team 

Responsibilities:

• Develop data protection policies under the head of department's guidance
• Ensure company is compliant with GDPR, Data Protection Act, and relevant regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits.
• Design and deliver data protection training programs for staff.
• Report and update on breaches and incidents.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated on GDPR and Data Protection Act amendments.
• Manage data subject requests professionally.
• Represent the entity in data protection matters locally and internationally.
• Provide timely assistance and responses to data protection inquiries.

Requirements

• 6 years of relevant experience in the role (including 2 years in a senior role)
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of data protection principles and laws
• Excellent communication skills in both the Maltese & English languages
• Experience in the implementation of data protection rules

Education and Experience

• University Degree (MQF Level 6) or equivalent in Law or IT
