Our client is seeking to recruit for a Business Controller. The person would report into the Head of Finance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Duties include:
- Responsible for month end controlling tasks.
- Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and identify root causes of deviations in financial performance.
- Deliver monthly management reporting packages, including KPIs and dashboards.
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights that support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Support cost control and profitability analysis across departments, projects, or product lines.
- Evaluate and improve internal financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Participate in strategic planning, including long-term financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Assist in preparation for audits, board reports, and ad hoc financial presentations.
- Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
- Supporting finance team members in financial duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is required
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of SAP and BI tools are considered as assets
Education and Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Candidates in advanced stages of obtaining such qualification will also be considered.
