A reputable client of ours, specialised within the Financial and Corporate sectors is looking to on board an Audit Associate Director to join their growing team of professionals. The designated person with be working closely with Senior management, and responsibilities are as follows:
Duties:
Plan and manage the Company's audit business, allocating resources effectively to ensure client deadlines are met.
Assess audit staffing levels and make recommendations to Partners regarding recruitment, training, and performance management
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow the Company's audit and assurance business
Perform concurring reviews of financial statements, particularly for listed entities and audits with qualified opinions.
Provide technical and work-management counselling to Audit Division staff.
Liaise with the Director of Technology regarding technology resources supporting the audit practice, including IT audit and staff/client IT needs.
Represent the Company as Audit Director, keeping Partners informed of market opportunities, competition, and audit-related developments.
Ensure compliance with independence and ethical requirements on all audit engagements.
Provide strategic direction to the audit department, collaborating with Partners and firm leadership to implement the Company's strategy while maintaining high audit quality standards.
Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the audit department
Lead and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery making sure not to compromise audit integrity or quality.
Requirements
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet strict deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and client-relationship management skills.
8+ years’ experience in an external audit environment, with progressive responsibility.
Proven experience managing audit engagements from planning through to completion and reporting.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Education and Experience
Fully qualified member of a recognised professional accounting body such as ACCA,, CPA, or equivalent.
Must be possession of a Maltese Auditor’s Warrant / Practising Certificate.
