We are looking for an experienced Tendering Building Services Engineer to take the lead, manage, plan & co-ordinate the technical and commercial aspects of projects relating to mechanical installations, including design development, cost estimation, and technical support to operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with client and contract requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
Design & Technical Leadership
- Take ownership of mechanical design development across assigned projects
- Review and validate design solutions to ensure they are practical and compliant
- Lead the preparation and coordination of workshop drawings
- Ensure alignment with architectural, structural, and other services
Costing & Commercial Support
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs
- Analyse tender documents to identify risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive and compliant quotations
Procurement & Materials
- Review and approve material and equipment submittals
- Support and oversee procurement processes for mechanical systems
- Ensure selected materials meet both technical and budget requirements
Project Support & Coordination
- Provide technical support to site teams during project execution
- Help resolve design and installation challenges as they arise
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects on track
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
- Act as the main technical point of contact for clients
- Attend meetings and provide clear technical input and guidance
- Ensure client requirements are fully understood and delivered
Team Support & Development
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Review work and ensure consistency with company standards
- Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement within the team
What We’re Looking For
- A Mechanical Engineer, preferably warranted
- Proven experience in mechanical cost estimation and tendering within building services
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of procurement and supplier coordination
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
- Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
