Technical Support Specialist

  North of Malta  |  €26,000 - €30,000 Annually 

Our client within the Healthcare Industry is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Sales and Technical Support, our responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality on-site and remote technical support, maintenance, and repair services for company products and equipment
  • Perform installations, routine maintenance, calibrations, qualifications, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and technical expertise
  • Install and commissions new equipment in line with technical specifications and customer requirements
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Validate and qualify laboratory instruments in accordance with industry standards
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Deliver training and technical guidance to clients on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions in the support system
  • Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs and provide timely, effective solutions
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • Travels locally and internationally as required by the business

Requirements

  • Qualifies for Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (Fellenberg HTD or MCAST diploma/degree or equivalent preferred)
  • Previous experience in a technical support role is considered an asset
  • Possesses strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with laboratory or industry-related equipment
  • Has basic knowledge of IT systems and network configuration
  • Demonstrates strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Effective at managing time and adaptable to occasional after-hours or weekend support
  • Holds a local and valid driving license
  • Willing to travel abroad for training and skill development
