Our client, a leading company in the construction industry, is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team. Main duties include:
- Design and perform structural analyses for buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects in accordance with applicable codes and engineering standards.
- Develop comprehensive design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and structural calculations.
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify structural integrity, assess construction quality, and ensure adherence to approved designs.
- Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to create practical, efficient, and cost-effective design solutions.
- Utilize CAD and structural analysis tools such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, and AutoCAD to produce accurate and coordinated models.
- Review and approve structural designs, shop drawings, and material submittals for compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Prepare technical reports, design summaries, and construction support documentation to facilitate project delivery.
- Ensure all structural designs comply with local and international building codes, safety standards, and sustainability principles.
- Assess and evaluate existing structures for renovation, strengthening, or expansion, providing engineering recommendations as needed.
- Oversee structural components of projects, including schedules, budgets, and client communications, to achieve successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Proficient in structural analysis software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in structural design and analysis.
