We are seeking a Senior Officer Projects to join a leading Authority in Malta. This role is central to the planning and execution of sustainability and climate-related projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, budget, and defined timelines.
Main Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Lead the planning and implementation of climate-related projects, tracking milestones and coordinating tasks to meet unit objectives.
Technical Support: Contribute to feasibility and impact assessments, ensuring all activities align with strategic objectives and environmental regulations.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear communication with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitoring & Reporting: Track project resources, expenditures, and timelines. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and briefing materials for management.
Data & Research: Conduct research on emerging technologies (renewable energy, sustainable practices) and manage digital project systems to ensure data accuracy.
Compliance: Maintain precise records and ensure all documentation meets national standards and internal quality requirements.
Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical/statistical tools.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Maltese is considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems analytically.
Experience with renewable energy systems, battery energy storage (BESS), or EV charging infrastructure.
Possession of a Professional Warrant and/or Authorisation B.
Familiarity with MQRIC recognition statements for foreign qualifications.
Education and Experience
A recognized Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6, min. 180 ECTS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Ideally two (2) years of relevant work experience in project coordination or engineering.
