Our Client, a well known Pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced Process Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Analyse and troubleshoot operational and technical issues, identify effective solutions, and recommend and implement methods, procedures, systems, and techniques to enhance process quality, operational efficiency, and equipment uptime.
- Organise, maintain, and continuously improve the maintenance management system and scheduled activities to ensure all maintenance operations are efficient, effective, and well-documented.
- Investigate deviations, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to reduce recurrence rates and strengthen process control.
- Support the planning and execution of engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and investment initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
- Ensure all activities comply with cGMP requirements, company policies, good engineering practices, and regulatory standards.
- Provide hands-on support during new process introductions, technology transfers, and scale-up projects to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges promptly, fostering teamwork and innovation to achieve production targets and operational objectives.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar role in the manufacturing sector, ideally in pharmaceuticals, with exposure to production and/or engineering operations.
- Hold an excellent level of written and verbal English.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and deliver results under pressure.
- Self-motivated, committed to fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a Diploma in Engineering (MQF Level 4 or higher) with relevant experience in a similar role.
