A well-established client of ours operating within the manufacturing industry is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team. This person will lead all maintenance operations across the facility, ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of production equipment, infrastructure, and utility systems.
The role is responsible for managing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, leading the maintenance team and external contractors, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all maintenance activities across plant, equipment, infrastructure, and utilities.
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
Manage, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while overseeing external contractors and service providers.
Lead infrastructure, equipment upgrade, and facility improvement projects from planning through implementation.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and other departments to ensure operational continuity and support business growth.
Monitor maintenance performance, budgets, spare parts inventory, and key maintenance KPIs.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Requirements
Strong problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and stakeholders.
Fluency in Maltese would be an asset
Education and Experience
Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment is a must
Electrical Licence A a must; A&B preferred
Experience with preventive maintenance systems, asset management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is a must
