Land Surveyor

  South of Malta

One of our clients working within civil engineering and infrastructure development is searching for a Land Surveyor to join their team. The chosen candidate will provide accurate and efficient land surveying services across infrastructure projects, as well as work closely with engineers, project managers, and construction crews to ensure proper setting out, monitoring, and verification of works on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct topographical and construction surveys using Leica TS12 Total Station.
  • Establish control points and benchmarks across project sites.
  • Interpret and work from construction drawings, CAD files, and design data.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure survey data aligns with project specifications and tolerances.
  • Collect, process, and present survey data in usable formats (e.g., CAD, CSV, DWG).
  • Monitor and report on construction progress in relation to design levels and alignment.
  • Maintain survey logs, equipment calibration records, and field notes.
  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed during field operations.
  • Maintain and care for the Leica TS12 and other surveying equipment.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently on site
  • Valid driver’s license

Education and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field is an asset
  • Previous experience in land surveying projects
  • Proficiency in operating Leica TS13 Total Station
  • Experience working with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software
