Laboratory Service Technician

  Central Malta  |  €25,000 - €30,000 Annually 

Our client, an award-winning Company providing solutions, expertise and support in specialized fields of science and technology, is looking to recruit a Laboratory Service Technician to join their operations in Malta. The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

  • Servicing a range of laboratory equipment including calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance
  • Installation, Training & Commissioning of Lab Analytical Equipment
  • Updating of service reports
  • Assisting in sales, i.e. generating offers for clients, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, and in technical sales meetings
  • Researching relevant new technologies and services to increase company portfolio
  • Occasional travel abroad is necessary at times for training
  • Assisting and reporting to his superiors on a daily basis

 

Requirements

  • Candidates must be living and working in Malta already
  • Candidates must be able to travel abroad occassionally for training purposes
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a tight-knit team
  • Candidates must be pro-active, mature, and able to work under pressure
  • Fluency in English is a must; Maltese highly preferred

Education and Experience

  • MCAST / Fellenberg HTD Diploma in industrial electronics or equivalent
  • Experience on the installation & maintenance of laboratory analytical equipment is highly preferred
  • Experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry is highly desired
  • Experience working as a Maintenance technician with Lab equipment would be a huge plus
