Our client, an award-winning Company providing solutions, expertise and support in specialized fields of science and technology, is looking to recruit a Laboratory Service Technician to join their operations in Malta. The chosen candidate will be responsible for:
- Servicing a range of laboratory equipment including calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance
- Installation, Training & Commissioning of Lab Analytical Equipment
- Updating of service reports
- Assisting in sales, i.e. generating offers for clients, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, and in technical sales meetings
- Researching relevant new technologies and services to increase company portfolio
- Occasional travel abroad is necessary at times for training
- Assisting and reporting to his superiors on a daily basis
Requirements
- Candidates must be living and working in Malta already
- Candidates must be able to travel abroad occassionally for training purposes
- Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a tight-knit team
- Candidates must be pro-active, mature, and able to work under pressure
- Fluency in English is a must; Maltese highly preferred
Education and Experience
- MCAST / Fellenberg HTD Diploma in industrial electronics or equivalent
- Experience on the installation & maintenance of laboratory analytical equipment is highly preferred
- Experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry is highly desired
- Experience working as a Maintenance technician with Lab equipment would be a huge plus
