Our client is looking to onboard a Junior Mechanical Engineer to assist in preparing technical drawings, compiling material submittals, and performing quantity take-offs to help ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop, revise, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical building services systems, ensuring proper document control
Prepare coordinated shop and construction drawings in collaboration with other disciplines and trades
Assist in the design and layout of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including basic load calculations and preliminary equipment selection under supervision
Support cost estimation activities by reviewing tender documents, preparing BOQs, and performing accurate material quantity take-offs, updating them as designs evolve
Prepare and compile technical submittals in line with project specifications, coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers as required
Provide technical support to project engineers by addressing site queries, attending coordination meetings, and conducting site visits to verify installation compliance
Contribute to value engineering initiatives to enhance system efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Ensure all design and drafting work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
Collaborate with electrical, civil, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
Provide general technical support to senior engineers and project managers while participating in ongoing professional development initiatives
Requirements:
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Excellent knowledge of English both written and verbal
