On behalf of our client, an established architectural firm specialising in sustainable heritage, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Civil Engineer to join their team in Nicosia. This is a one-year contract position with the opportunity to work on meaningful projects focused on sustainability, conservation, and the enhancement of built heritage.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the client’s facilities are maintained in a safe, functional, and fully compliant condition.
- Monitor ongoing maintenance and fit-out works to ensure adherence to local building codes, safety standards, and organisational policies.
- Conduct regular premises inspections and respond promptly to maintenance issues.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to building systems, structures, and infrastructure.
- Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, and maintenance documentation.
- Provide engineering support across maintenance, renovation, and construction activities.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure all works meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee fit-out and refurbishment works.
- Assist in developing and implementing standardised procedures across various locations.
- Promote and integrate environmentally sustainable practices within maintenance and construction processes.
- Address safety concerns proactively to ensure the protection of staff, contractors, and visitors.
Desired Skills

Requirements
- Member of ETEK
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance workflows, safety standards, and local regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a multinational and multidisciplinary environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in building services, maintenance supervision, or similar engineering roles.
