Field Service Engineer
Central Malta | €28,000 - €33,000 Annually
Our client within the Healthcare Industry is looking for a Full-time Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and evaluate faults in medical and laboratory equipment.
Carry out repairs in line with technical specifications and standards.
Plan and complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
Manage and monitor spare parts stock and company-owned equipment.
Encourage strong communication, collaboration, and high levels of customer care.
Travel overseas occasionally to attend technical training programmes.
Perform on-site installation, setup, calibration, and commissioning of medical devices.
Record all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, testing, and components replaced.
Refer complex or unresolved technical issues to manufacturers or internal specialists as needed.
Adhere to all applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements for medical devices.
Build and maintain positive client relationships through prompt, professional service and follow-up support.
Requirements
Have good verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Maltese.
Be organised, methodical and have an eye for detail.
Can work both independently and as part of a team.
Have a good customer service attitude.
Must hold a clean and valid driving license.
Be able to travel overseas occasionally to attend technical training programmes.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate should preferably have an MCAST BTEC / Fellenberg diploma in industrial electronics or equivalent.
Previous working experience in this field is considered an asset.
