Field Service Engineer

Our client within the Healthcare Industry is looking for a Full-time Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and evaluate faults in medical and laboratory equipment.
• Carry out repairs in line with technical specifications and standards.
• Plan and complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
• Manage and monitor spare parts stock and company-owned equipment.
• Encourage strong communication, collaboration, and high levels of customer care.
• Travel overseas occasionally to attend technical training programmes.
• Perform on-site installation, setup, calibration, and commissioning of medical devices.
• Record all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, testing, and components replaced.
• Refer complex or unresolved technical issues to manufacturers or internal specialists as needed.
• Adhere to all applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements for medical devices.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through prompt, professional service and follow-up support.

Requirements

• Have good verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Maltese.
• Be organised, methodical and have an eye for detail.
• Can work both independently and as part of a team.
• Have a good customer service attitude.
• Must hold a clean and valid driving license.
• Be able to travel overseas occasionally to attend technical training programmes.

Education and Experience

• The ideal candidate should preferably have an MCAST BTEC / Fellenberg diploma in industrial electronics or equivalent.
• Previous working experience in this field is considered an asset.
