Our client is seeking a Field Service / Electro-Mechanical Technician to join their dynamic team as a front-line expert. This role bridges the gap between hands-on field technical service (70% of the time) and in-house technical support and quoting (30% of the time).
The Main Responsibilities include:
On-Site Technical Service (70%): Carry out on-site installations, fault-finding, and repairs on industrial machinery at client premises following work plans and Gantt charts.
Compressed Air Systems: Design, install, and service complete compressed air systems utilizing Aluminium tubing and maintain industrial compressors.
In-House Technical Consultation (30%): Serve as a core technical resource, assisting customers with part identification, cross-referencing, and understanding application components (e.g., PLCs, sensors, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics).
Communications & Quotations: Proactively manage the technical support mailbox, handle inbound telephone calls, and prepare and send formal sales quotes via email.
Solution Selling: Utilize your strong technical knowledge base to recommend upgraded or alternative products that best fit client application requirements.
Documentation: Ensure all technical processes and site visits are precisely documented by filling out service reports
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8am–1pm and 2pm–5pm
Requirements
Possession of a valid Electrical License A is highly preferred.
A demonstrated, practical understanding of core industrial components, including drives, sensors, relays, connectors, HMI, safety components, pneumatics, and compressors.
Must be a genuine "People's Person" who is approachable and able to build rapid rapport with clients. Candidates must be physically fit and maintain an excellent professional presentation suitable for customer-facing environments.
Education and Experience
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting is required (experience servicing compressors is a must).
A relevant technical degree or certification (e.g., Industrial Technology, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing, or equivalent) is essential.
