Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Development and Manufacturing Engineer within their Probes Department. Your main responsibilities will be to:
Oversee the full product journey, from concept and development through to production and ongoing optimisation
Drive continuous enhancements in product quality, performance, and reliability
Act as a key link between research teams and manufacturing operations
Develop strong expertise in sensor technologies and their applications across product lines
Support research and development activities through product evaluation, testing, and improvement initiatives
Lead or contribute to projects aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency, output, and quality
Ensure products are engineered with manufacturability in mind through close collaboration with production teams
Identify opportunities for product and process improvements, including participation in technical and cost feasibility assessments
Conduct structured investigations into product failures and customer issues to determine root causes and corrective actions
Compile and communicate technical findings and progress updates to internal stakeholders
Assist in preparing documentation required for product approval and release into mass production
Support the planning and execution of controlled changes to products and production processes
Develop and maintain standard procedures and operational guidelines
Manage records of testing equipment to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
Provide training to team members on procedures and best practices
Requirements
Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel or similar).
Exposure to CAD software or other engineering tools.
Awareness of standard safety procedures, quality requirements, and operational guidelines within manufacturing.
Good time management and attention to accuracy and detail.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is an asset.
