Our client is one of the most renowned names in the hospitality industry in Malta. They are looking to engage a Chief Engineer who is responsible for overseeing all property engineering operations, including building systems, grounds, and physical plant.
The Role
- The role ensures safety, security, and asset protection while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- You will manage departmental budgets, capital projects, and energy conservation efforts.
- You will lead the emergency response team for all facility-related issues.
- You will supervise daily maintenance activities and ensures equipment is operated efficiently and safely.
- You will lead and support the Engineering & Maintenance teams to achieve high performance and service standards.
- You will handle guest concerns effectively as a vital part of the role.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- You must demonstrate expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
- A tertiary education in Engineering, Building & Construction, or Mechanics is required.
- Prior experience in facility maintenance or related fields is necessary, along with technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
