Chief Engineer (Hospitality)

Our client is a leading company that operates in the hospitality market. They would require a Chief Engineer to join their team.

The Role

• You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the premises to the highest standards.
• You will report to the General Manager.
• You will lead the engineering team and set up the departmental goals and strategies.
• You will prepare accurate forecasts and engineering reports, including monthly utilities reports.
• The role includes planning, proposing, and managing approved projects.
• Ensuring staff safety, compliance with maintenance and safety procedures, and correct use of PPE is a key responsibility.
• You will ensure that maintenance records are accurate and up to date.
• Preventive maintenance programs are planned and executed for rooms, HVAC, plant, equipment, public areas, spa, pools, kitchens, and F&B outlets.
• The role acts as the first point of contact during audits and official meetings.
• You will support all departments with engineering needs and respond promptly to issues.
• Responsibility includes permits, licensing compliance, and ensuring quality work meets industry standards.
• You will manage daily engineering operations involving in-house staff and subcontractors, including coordination and stock control.
• Budget awareness and maintaining appropriate stock levels of parts are required.
• You will mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, performance monitoring, and constructive feedback are essential.

Requirements

• You will have proven experience in a similar role
• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a must
• You will have strong communication and problem solving skills
