CAMO Manager

  South of Malta  |  €80,000 - €85,000 Annually 

Our client is looking to recruit a CAMO Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Accountable Manager, the chosen candidate will:

  • Ensure all defects and damages affecting safe operation are rectified to approved standards.
  • Establish and develop airworthiness policy, including oversight and approval of Aircraft Maintenance Programs (AMP).
  • Analyze the effectiveness of the AMP and initiate improvements as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance is performed on time, to approved standards, and in accordance with the AMP.
  • Ensure accomplishment of all Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and other mandatory requirements issued by EASA and the CAA.
  • Ensure compliance with the conditions and restrictions of the AOC and all applicable regulatory and CAC standards.
  • Ensure proper embodiment of modifications in accordance with approved data, and oversee policy regarding non-mandatory modifications and service information.
  • Ensure the continued validity of the Certificate of Airworthiness for all operated aircraft.
  • Ensure all components and parts are sourced, fitted, and repaired in accordance with approved data and sourced from approved suppliers.
  • Ensure proper certification, traceability, and documentation for used and surplus parts.
  • Maintain traceability of consumable materials and ensure batch control.
  • Manage inventory storage and ensure timely procurement of spare parts to meet MEL compliance and operational needs.
  • Ensure personnel under supervision are competent and adequately trained.
  • Identify training needs and ensure ongoing competence for CAMO team members.
  • Ensure the CAME is current and approved by the CAA, including all revisions.
  • Manage and maintain aircraft technical records, ensuring protection against fire, flood, and theft.
  • Ensure the CAA-approved Aircraft Technical Log system is maintained and updated.
  • Report all applicable maintenance occurrences to the CAA and manufacturers, including mandatory and non-mandatory reports.
  • Monitor and implement any applicable national requirements issued by the CAA.
  • Manage outsourcing and relationships with Part-145 maintenance contractors.
  • Establish and oversee Maintenance Contracts, ensuring compliance and performance.
  • Act as Technical Director for Challenge Aviation, overseeing technical aspects of leased aircraft.
  • Support lease transitions, returns, and continuing airworthiness of the leased fleet.

Requirements

  • Have excellent planning and organization skills and must be accountable, responsible
  • Have independent thinking with the ability to challenge current processes and suggest improvements

Education and Experience

  • BA or equivalent Degree in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic, or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft/aircraft components.
  • Familiarity with management systems preferably in aviation
  • Appropriate management experience, preferably in a comparable organization
  • Strong knowledge of: relevant parts of operational requirements and procedures; the AOC holder's operations specifications; the need for, and content of, the relevant parts of the AOC holder's operations manual.
  • Knowledge of Quality systems
  • 5 years of experience in the same role and industry is a must
