Our client, is looking for an experienced Senior Research Analyst. This role forms part of a new Research and Insights function supporting evidence-based regulation. The successful candidate will conduct research, analyse data, identify emerging trends, and produce clear reports and publications to support regulatory and policy decisions. Responsibilities include desk research, data analysis, research synthesis, sector and ESG reporting, horizon scanning, and supporting externally commissioned studies and stakeholder consultations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct desk research, evidence reviews, and comparative analysis on related topics
Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and continuous improvement of research and reporting processes
Analyse and synthesise findings into actionable insights for regulatory and policy decisions
Prepare clear regulatory, statistical, and sector reports on the industry
Support ESG initiatives through analysis, performance reporting, and communication
Monitor local and international regulatory trends and developments in the sector
Assist with externally commissioned studies in line with research priorities
Support stakeholder consultations and summarise feedback into actionable insights
Present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Working Hours: Monday - Friday
Requirements
Minimum two years’ experience in research, policy, regulatory, or data-focused roles
Proven contribution to published research or analytical reporting
Knowledge of gambling regulation, behavioural policy, or regulated industries is an asset
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail
Experience drafting analytical reports, ESG reporting knowledge is an advantage
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Effective project and time management, with the ability to work under pressure
Confident engagement with internal and external stakeholders
Education and Experience
Degree at MQF Level 6 or higher in Public Policy, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
