Our client is seeking to recruit a Senior Manager within the Capital Issuance and Optimization department. The role reports to the CFO.
Person will be responsible for curating the data and data sources and exporting the data to derive meaningful insights. This will include activities such as modelling data from unstructured formats and converting it into a structure that is compatible with internal tools and user interfaces. This role goes beyond traditional forecasting, and it is about designing, owning, and continuously evolving the institution’s core financial models and frameworks, ensuring they remain robust, accurate, and agile in the face of shifting market dynamics, regulatory demands, and strategic ambitions
Duties include:
Designing and building sophisticated econometric models and studies to answer key business questions and drive strategic decision-making.
Architect new models to explore complex financial relationships and market trends
Architecting, developing, and taking full ownership of the Bank’s core Balance Sheet Model, ensuring its integrity, accuracy, and adaptability. This includes designing and implementing new systems, calculators, and advanced modelling capabilities to reflect evolving market conditions, product innovations, and regulatory requirements
Overseeing the preparation, validation, and delivery of comprehensive financial forecasts, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections, supported by clear documentation and insightful analysis for senior management and regulatory stakeholders.
Introducing and implementing advanced analytical tools, predictive models, and emerging technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial and strategic forecasting.
Providing strategic foresight to senior management by transforming complex data into clear, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations to the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) & Executive Committee (ExCO)
Leading complex analytical projects independently, while also providing expert support and collaboration on joint team initiatives.
Partner with data teams on data architecture and ensure data quality and integrity for all econometric projects.
Developing, running, and optimizing econometric code using various tools to provide business leaders with actionable insights.
Designing and creating user-friendly dashboards that allow stakeholders to easily interpret and interact with model outputs.
Analysing and managing large datasets, mapping data flow and maintaining a comprehensive view of information from various systems to ensure data accuracy and usability.
Generating detailed reports and presentations as needed, translating complex findings into clear, impactful business communications.
Requirements
Previous proven work experience of six (6) years in building, organising and analysing large data sets, two (2) years of which managing a team, project or initiative,
MQF Level 6 Award in economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, data science or a related field.
