As a Senior Game and Data Analyst, you will drive data-powered decisions at the core of a Games company, turning player data into insights that shape game design, live operations, and business strategy.
You will analyse and visualize gameplay data, uncover player behaviour patterns, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams. Alongside this, you will help evolve the studio’s analytics stack by building ETL and data pipelines across platforms such as MySQL, dbt, Snowflake, and Tableau, supporting smarter decisions and better games.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to enhance online and mobile games, as well as performance marketing initiatives.
- Design and maintain impactful data visualizations, primarily using Tableau.
- Build, optimize, and maintain robust database structures while ensuring high data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with game development teams to improve game delivery, performance, and player experience.
- Develop methods to analyze and understand player behavior and engagement.
- Create algorithms and metrics to measure, track, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries across relational and columnar databases.
- Perform in-depth statistical and visual analyses, including long-term trend monitoring for games.
- Analyze multivariate tests, investigate performance issues, and report on the impact of new features.
- Design, maintain, and evolve ETL and data integration pipelines.
- Translate complex data relationships into clear visual insights and actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- Around 5 years of experience in analytics in the games or ecommerce field
- Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g., R, Python)
- Excellent knowledge of Tableau Desktop software and Tableau Cloud
- Ability to work with various data platforms and tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and other systems
- Good knowledge of SQL or other databases
- Experience applying advanced statistical methods and handling large amounts of data
- Basic knowledge of PHP and other programming languages is desirable
- Good understanding of data warehouse architecture and design
- Experience in setting up ETL pipelines is desirable
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Analysis, Mathematics or similar.
