Our client, a leading commercial law firm in Malta is looking for a Senior Data and AI Specialist to join their dynamic team to develop and implement data and AI models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
This role is for a proactive do-er who can drive business discussions and deliver solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Preparation: Gather, clean, and pre-process large datasets to ensure high-quality inputs for AI models, and analyse the data to extract meaningful insights.
AI Model Development and Deployment: Design, build, and implement AI models and algorithms that support and optimize business operations and decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers and key stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver integrated, AI-driven solutions.
Research and Innovation: Keep up with the latest advancements in data science and AI. Conduct research to enhance model performance and develop new solutions using Azure technologies.
Model Deployment and Optimization: Deploy machine learning models into production environments, continuously monitor performance, and fine-tune models for accuracy and efficiency.
Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop visualizations, reports, and applications to clearly communicate insights and findings using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
Requirements
Proficient in Python, R, TensorFlow and Pythorch
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms - including Azure SQL Database, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure PowerBI
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Dataverse, and the Microsoft Power Platform.
Solid understanding of deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision techniques.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present insights and findings in English. In Maltese is a plus
Awareness of GDPR and data protection regulations applicable in Malta and across the EU.
Education and Experience
Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field
