We are seeking a methodical and data-driven Officer - Data and Reporting to join a specialized team focused on climate policy and sustainability. This role is critical for transforming raw climate data into actionable insights that support national policy development and international reporting standards.
Main Duties:
Data Lifecycle Management: Plan and manage the end-to-end process of data collection, cleaning, and quantitative/qualitative analysis.
Policy Support: Interpret complex climate data to provide technical advice and support evidence-based decision-making.
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with public and private entities to facilitate seamless data sharing and cooperation on climate initiatives.
Reporting: Prepare accurate technical reports and summaries, ensuring all documentation meets established national and international deadlines.
Research: Conduct in-depth background research on global best practices, emerging climate policies, and data methodologies.
Representation: Act as a technical reference point for the organization in meetings, consultations, and conferences, both locally and overseas.
Public Engagement: Support initiatives aimed at communicating sustainability measures and climate policies to the general public.
Requirements:
Education: A recognized Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) with a minimum of 180 ECTS in Engineering or a relevant technical field.
Experience: Ideally 1 year of relevant work experience in data analysis or a similar technical capacity.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Language: Professional communication skills in English and/or Maltese.
Assets: Proven experience in data modeling, forecasting tools, and proficiency in Python or Advanced Excel is highly regarded.
