Researcher-Data Analyst - interim support
Location: EUAA Trident, Malta.

Salary Category IV - Gross monthly: EUR 4,111.47
Job Description
The Research/Data Analyst will be working in the Training and Learning Research and Analysis Sector (TLRS) in the EUAA's Training and Professional Development Centre.
The Research/Data Analyst will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Contribute to the analysis, design, development, documentation, unit testing, and maintenance of business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting systems
- Develop quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methodologies, and conduct research to support training needs assessments, in-depth reports, and research studies
- Conduct and support research and analysis on processes and activities related to training development for asylum and reception officials.
- Support the development of harmonized indicators and propose initiatives to improve information management methodologies.
- Utilize data management and business intelligence tools (e.g., Python, Databricks, Jupyter notebooks, Voila dashboards, Power BI) to summarize and visualize training-related data.
- Support the liaison with internal EUAA teams and external stakeholders for the implementation of research activities and projects; the preparation of internal and external meetings and collaborate with the communications team for research outputs dissemination.
- Carry out any other relevant tasks, in the interest of the service, as requested by the Head of Sector.
Minimum requirement
- A level of education that corresponds to a Bachelor's degree (EQF level 6) attested by a diploma, in addition to proven professional experience of at least three years in line with the tasks listed in the job description.

Required skills and competencies
Essential
- Professional experience in data analysis and visualizations using Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and Power BI
- Professional experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection, processing and/or management
- Professional experience in using statistical, data analytics, business intelligence and data visualization software;
- Professional experience in drafting analytical reports;
- Professional experience in using programming languages to process and analyse data;
