Data Solutions Specialist

Our client, operating in the telecoms industry, is looking for a Data Solutions Specialist to join their Data and BI Team. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions in user stories, ensuring data quality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with BI developers, analysts, and data engineers to ensure consistent data definitions and governance.
• Lead technical deep-dives into pipeline issues, modelling challenges, and integration questions.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand KPIs, analytics use cases, and reporting needs.
• Manage the agile backlog, ensuring proper prioritisation and clarity of user stories, applying DoR (Definition of Ready) and DoD (Definition of Done).

Requirements

• Strong experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics engineering.
• Experience with data warehousing, modelling techniques, and ETL/ELT tools.
• Proficiency with SQL, adept in utilising SSIS, SSRS, SSMS.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a data-related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in data engineering.
