Join the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) as a Data Product Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in connecting business needs with data and analytics solutions
In this role, you’ll act as the bridge between stakeholders and BI/Data teams—ensuring that data products, dashboards, and reporting solutions deliver real business value. You’ll help drive a data-driven culture, enabling smarter decision-making across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
Engage stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into data and BI requirements.
Contribute to data modelling discussions, providing business context, and KPI definitions
Validate data outputs against business expectations and requirements.
Support enhancements to the Data Warehouse by contributing business requirements
Maintain accurate data definitions, data dictionaries, and KPI documentation
Monitor high-level data flows and flag inconsistencies or issues
Assist in validating data sources, mappings, and integrations
Support the design and improvement of dashboards, KPIs, and reporting solutions
Assist users in interpreting BI tools, reports, and data outputs.
Promote adoption of BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and encourage a data-driven mindset
Ensure adherence to governance, policies, and BA standards.
Support reporting, documentation, and project coordination activities
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles.
Hands on experience with PowerBi (or similar) tools.
Strong background in business analysis and data analysis within BI/Data environments.
Working knowledge of databases, data structures, and SQL.
Understanding of ETL/data integration concepts (non-development).
Education and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business and IT, Data Analysis, or similar.
Experience working in the financial sector is highly desirable.
