Bid Manager

Our client is seeking a skilled Bid Manager to join a forward-thinking digital solutions provider. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on crafting persuasive, high-impact proposals that drive business growth across both the public and private sectors.

The Main Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively track and evaluate tender notices and procurement portals across multiple sectors
  • Develop compelling and persuasive bid documents tailored to digital transformation and software-based offerings
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of bid responses from start to finish
  • Work closely with technical and commercial teams to extract key information and shape it into client-focused proposals
  • Ensure all submissions are aligned with requirements, meet deadlines, and reflect a high standard of quality
  • Support commercial strategy by collaborating on competitive pricing models and cost breakdowns
  • Manage internal review processes, incorporating feedback and insights from relevant stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement across templates, tools, and bid response processes
  • Analyse post-bid feedback to refine future submissions and enhance win rates

Requirements

  • A proven ability to write clearly, persuasively, and accurately, especially in technical contexts
  • Strong understanding of the bid process, from identifying opportunities through to final submission and contract negotiation
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Confident presenting ideas and documentation in a visually engaging format
  • Familiarity with public procurement frameworks and commercial bidding best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to liaise across departments and engage stakeholders at all levels

Education and Experience

  • A degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in bid management, proposal writing, or software sales – experience within the Maltese market is an asset
  • Experience working on bids involving complex software solutions or digital services
